Long Time, I know

Well, It has been a long time since I have posted and there have been a ton of things that have happened since then. To start my new job is going very well. It is much more flexible than retail and I get to spend more time with Christina and Lucas. I don't have to work weekends anymore witch is great. Luke is doing great. He had a great time at the beach with Christina's family. He loves the water and played in it all week. He did not care weather it was the ocean, the pool, or the hot tub. He really like the hot tub. (We turned the temperature down so it was more like a bath tub for the baby's) I have some pictures from the beach that I will try and get up later this week.

Luke is now "sleeping " in a big boy bed. We made that transition last weekend. It has not been the smoothest, but we are working our way through it. He like to get up in the middle of the night and pound on the door. Sounds really cute but its not really.

He also had tonsillitis two weeks ago. We had gone to the lake that day and when we came home he had a fever of 104.7 and that was a little scary. Christina and I were pretty worried but it turned out to be not that big of a deal. No medicine from the doctors they said he had to just fight through it. I felt bad for the guy. The good thing that came from it was that he was able to spend the week with his grandmothers since he couldn't go to daycare. My mom had him for two days and Cristina's mom had him for three. I know that they both really enjoyed it.

We are actually headed back to the beach next week with my family. We are leaving on Sunday and will be at the outer banks for a week. I will make sure that I get some good pictures and post them to the blog next week for all to see.

Good News, Bad New

Well we have good news and bad news. The bad news is that Daddy Day Care has to come to an end. Luke will have to go back to the babysitter. The good news is that I got a new job. I will be working as a statistician at RTI in the park starting after we get back from vacation. This is a big relief to our family. I found out last night and it has just now sunk in. So, I guess I will be back to work in a few weeks!!

Partry Time

I'm 1!!!

I turned one on May 28, 2009. I went swimming at the pool after I played in the rain. Then we went out to Monkey Joes and then to Red Robin for dinner. Grandma and Grandpa came as well as Aunt Jen. We all had a good time. Here are some pics from that day!!

Long Time

Well folks it has been a long time since I have posted but I'm back. Everything in the family is going well. Luke is a rambunctious boy that is in go mode all the time. He can climb up and down the stairs, run after Mom and Dad, and loves to be outside. Sometimes I think that he would lay down in the grass and take his nap if we let him. His birthday is coming up and we are planning to have a big bash for him. I promised Christina that I would have a deck built before the party since I am currently unemployed and I would have plenty of time to work on it. Yes that's right I am not working right now. I am taking care of Luke full time right now. I do have somethings in the works but Luke and I are just hanging out. Back to the party, We are having a party on the 30th at our house for Luke. It is going to be around 3:30 or 4:00, so after his nap. All are welcome to come just drop me a line or comment and let us know that you are going to attend. Hope all are doing well and I will try to do better keeping up with this post.

Luke Walking

Luke, Christina, and I are all doing well. Luke had his 9 month doctors appointment last week and he received a clean bill of health. He is just a little under weight. But, I think that its because he is a lot like I was when I was a baby. He is also walking already. He has been doing that for about two weeks now. The Doc said that he is about 3 months ahead of schedule for motor skills. He can also climb stairs, push boxes around the house, and picking up toys and putting them on the couch. He likes to play with things he is not supposed to like trash cans and kitchen cabinets. The most significant thing is that he is sleeping all night!!!!!!!! We had his 9 month pictures made and I will get some of those up soon.

Family update

Well folks, its been to long since I have had anything to say but I'm back. There have been so many things going on I don't even know were to start. Luke had a great Christmas. He got so many things we are wondering were we are going to put everything. He is now 8 months old and he thinks that he can do what most 1 year olds can do. He is crawling all over the place getting into everything. He is also pulling up and standing on his own. He stood up by himself today for the first time. He is getting so big.
We also had him baptized two weeks ago. He did very well he didn't cry at all. We also had people over for lunch afterward. It was a good day all around. Last weekend he had his eight month pictures taken. He looked so cool in the outfit that his uncle Matt got him for Christmas. He also took some in camo on his four wheeler that aunt Jen got him. I'm going to try and do a better job keeping things up to date from now on so I will put some pictures up later.
