38 and no real news

Well, we hit 38 weeks yesterday. All is going well other than Christina is miserable. She is having a hard time sleeping and is really ready to have this baby. We did go to the doctor Friday and she was 1/2 cm dilated and about 80% effaced. I would like for him to come this week but you never know. I will try and post one last picture of how Christina looks before we go into labor. I will be sure to keep everything up to date when labor starts. Keep your fingers crossed!!!

36 and Ready.......I think

Today we went to our last birth class. We felt like it was helpful in the fact that we were able to learn about what to expect going into labor. This class was not very helpful since they pretty much just told us how to change a diaper. I thing that we are both more comfortable now that we took the class.

Christina is done being pregnant. She has been having what she describes as strong menstrual cramps for about a week now. She also thinks that she lost her plug tonight. I don't know if any of that means that the baby is coming or not but she really hopes so. I know I am ready to become a parent and she is as well. I'm not looking forward to late nights and no sleep but I am ready to meet the newest member of the family. Luke is going to have a ton of love not only from us but everyone else that we know. Well maybe my next update will be us on the way to the hospital.

Updates...

There is a bunch of news from this past week. I was off on Thursday and Friday so we were able to get a ton of things done. I put together all of the things that we got from last weekends baby shower. If you come into our house you would think that we already have a baby here. There is a swing and a pack-n-play in the living room, a high chair and a stroller in the dinning room and we also installed the base for the car seat in Christina's new car.

Friday we met up with Christina's Mom for lunch and an all day work day. First, we went shopping at the Carter's outlet. Next, we came home and sorted all of the clothes and started washing them. Then, we went to Lowe's and Targets to get some other thing that we "needed". She decided that a new washer and dryer were needed since they have a kid care setting. Finally we picked up some last minute things at Target.

We also feel like the baby has "dropped". This is when he starts getting into position for birth. We also made a pregnancy cast to kinda remember what Christina looked like while she was pregnant. We thought it was pretty fun. Now, Christina wants to just hide it. She not a big fan of it. But, I think that its pretty neat.

We have a doctors appointment tomorrow and we will find out if she has started to dilate. This will give us an idea of when he might come. But, as of right now they still say that they are not going to change or due date. Thats all I have for tonight, I'll post once we know whats up with the kid.

34 Week Picture update

Here are the pictures of Christina she is at 34 weeks. Just 6 to go!!!!!!!! She feel like there is no room for anything else. She has definitely gotten to the uncomfortable stage. We hope that he might come a little early.

Baby Got a New Car

Baby Holder just got a new car. Christina and I purchased a new Chevy Malibu this past week. Christina absolutely loves it. She has never had a 'new' car and now she finally does. We decided that her car was not the best for a brand new baby so we decided that it was time to get a new car. Now seemed to be the best time since she is 33 weeks pregnant. We didn't want to get to close to due date and then be stuck. It been rainy for the past few days other wise I would put some pictures up. This week should be nice so I will try to get some pic of the new car up. I will also try to get an updated picture of the mommy up as well. She doesn't enjoy having her picture made right now, but I'll see what I can do!!

Birth 101

Well we went to our first birth class on Monday night. It was pretty informative. We learned how to figure out if we are in labor and we also learned how to count out when Christina is having a contraction. We weren't very good at it, Christina just kept laughing at me. I was concentrating on my fingers while I was counting to much for her. She told me that I needed to concentrate on her not my fingers. I was somewhat of a class clown, we had to introduce ourselves and say what we wanted to learn in the class. My response was that I wanted to learn how not to get yelled at in the delivery room. We were also told to start making a plan for what we want to happen that day, so just to let you all know when its time to get out I'm going to tell you to get out. Don't take it personal we just want things to go as smooth as possible. I will be the one that tells everyone what is going on and sometimes I have a hard time being really nice when I'm stressed so again, don't take it personal.

Nursery Update
